What I think
Art and design matter because everything we see has a designer behind it. The choices behind everyday objects, spaces, and images shape how we experience the world. I want to design and build things people find useful and meaningful, while bringing together different perspectives and visual traditions.
My background
I’m from Macau, a lively city where Chinese and Portuguese influences meet. I attended Macau Sam Yuk Middle School before moving to Canada in 2023, where I completed Grades 11 and 12 at Lambrick Park Secondary School in Victoria, British Columbia. Growing up around different cultures sparked my interest in design and in the ways Eastern and Western visual traditions can come together. I later moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta, where I’m currently studying Arts and Design with a minor in Economics. Alberta is the coldest place I’ve ever lived, and I’m still getting used to the winters.
